0 ZTE Grand X IN

Expected September 2012

The curiously named ZTE Grand X IN will be ZTE's flagship smartphone when it hits retailers later this month, and it will be one of a very small number of Intel-based Android devices on the market.

There is already an ARM-based version of the Grand X, but frankly that is looking a bit underspecified compared to the competition, and the Grand X IN gets a useful upgrade when it comes to hardware.
On the front is a 4.3" 540 x 960 pixel display, on the back is an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, plus a 0.3 megapixel unit on the front for video calling. The ZTE Grand X IN is an Android 4.0 device and has all the usual features including 3.5G connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth plus an FM radio and NFC.

Inside is an Intel Atom Z2460 processor (probably clocked at 1.6GHz) plus 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal flash memory and a microSD slot. There's a 1650 mAh battery, and the ZTE Grand X IN measures 127 x 65 x 9.9mm and weighs 141 grams.
For a flagship phone, the ZTE Grand X IN isn't really all that high-end compared to rivals, but it has a specification set that should suit almost all customers and it should come with a very attractive price tag when it hits the market.
